I study cybersecurity at Dawood UET and spend most of my time outside class doing the same thing hands on: breaking into deliberately vulnerable apps, pulling artifacts out of memory dumps and disk images, and building small tools to practice with. I also spend real effort learning to explain security clearly to people who aren't security people.

About
I'm a fourth year Cybersecurity student at Dawood University of Engineering & Technology in Karachi. My work sits across four areas: web, mobile, network and infrastructure penetration testing, and digital forensics, mostly built through labs, CTFs, and a cyber risk internship at the State Bank of Pakistan.
I compete in CTFs with a focus on cryptography, digital forensics and OSINT, and I've designed original challenges for Teknofest and a few student-led events rather than just solving them. Alongside the technical side, I've started building a public speaking track record, presenting security topics to students who aren't in cybersecurity themselves, which forces me to explain things clearly instead of relying on jargon.
Outside of cybersecurity, you'll usually find me following football, getting lost in a good film, or exploring something completely unrelated to either.
Currently
Finishing a Cyber Risk Management internship at the State Bank of Pakistan and heading into my final year at DUET, with digital forensics as the area I'm going deepest on.

CTF competitions
I compete in Ignite, picoCTF, and CyberGon, specialising in cryptography and OSINT challenges. I've also designed and deployed original cryptography and OSINT challenges for Teknofest and several student-led cybersecurity events, which is a different muscle from solving them.

Security isn't just about finding problems. It's also about being able to explain them.

The technical categories above are only half of it. I've been deliberately building the ability to present research and findings to an audience, whether that's a risk assessment write up for a bank or a talk to undergraduates who've never touched a terminal.
